Steven Rinella grew up hunting and fishing in Twin Lake, Michigan, and turned that upbringing into a media company that has reshaped how Americans talk about hunting. MeatEater Inc. also owns First Lite (technical hunting apparel), Phelps Game Calls, FHF Gear, and Dave Smith Decoys. Rinella is a left-handed shooter; all his rifles are left-hand actions. In May 2024, MeatEater launched its Official Partnership Program with SIG SAUER as the official rifle, optic, and ammo partner.

A 34" axle-to-axle hunting bow from Prime using the ROTO Cam 2 parallel cam system, which allows draw length adjustment in half-inch increments without a bow press. Specs are 40-80 lbs draw weight, 6" brace height, 70-90% adjustable let-off, and 345 fps IBO. Centergy Technology, including the Swerve riser element and Flexis-AR cable system, reduces lateral riser movement at full draw.
