Clay Newcomb is a seventh-generation Arkansan, writer, filmmaker, and host of the Bear Grease Podcast on the MeatEater Podcast Network. He founded and published Bear Hunting Magazine and directed the Arkansas Black Bear Association for twelve years. A traditional archery enthusiast and mule skinner, Newcomb's work explores the cultural and historical roots of hunting, rural life, and the American outdoors. He joined MeatEater in 2020 and hosts the Clay Newcomb Hunts series.

Inertia-driven semi-automatic shotgun available in 12 and 20 gauge with a 3-inch chamber. Introduced in 2015 as Weatherby's first inertia-operated semi-auto, it won American Hunter's 2016 Shotgun of the Year. The 12 gauge weighs around 6.75 lbs with 26" or 28" barrel options, 4+1 capacity, and three included choke tubes. Product description

Iron Will's solid (non-vented) fixed-blade broadhead, a 4-blade design with a 1 1/16" main blade and 3/4" bleeder, available in eight grain weights from 100 to 250 grains. Blades are .062" thick A2 tool steel, cryogenically treated and triple tempered to 60 HRC. The tanto tip geometry widens the point for added bone-splitting resistance. A bleeder-free "Buff" configuration is also available for maximum penetration.

Federal's non-toxic shotshell loaded with bismuth pellets rated at 9.6 g/cc density, 22% denser than steel, making them an effective lead substitute for waterfowl hunting. Available in 12, 16, 20, and 28 gauge with 2-3/4" and 3" shell lengths, shot sizes 3 through 5, and muzzle velocities from 1350 to 1450 fps.
