Babsi Zangerl became the first person in history to flash a route on El Capitan (Freerider) in 2024. She has completed first female free ascents on El Capitan (El Nino, Zodiac, Magic Mushroom), the Eiger (Odyssee, 2018), and the Nameless Tower (Eternal Flame, 2022). She was among the first women to boulder at the 8B (V13) level with Pura Vida (graded 8A+/8B) in 2008. In 2025, she redpointed Bombardino at 9a+ (5.15a). She was named National Geographic Adventurer of the Year in 2019 and received the Paul Preuss Prize in 2025. She repeated Beth Rodden's Meltdown (5.14c) in 2023.
