Ted King raced professionally on the road from 2006 to 2015, competing in the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Paris-Roubaix, and Tour of Flanders while serving as a domestique alongside riders like Peter Sagan and Carlos Sastre. After retiring from WorldTour racing with Cannondale-Garmin, King became a central figure in the American gravel scene, winning Unbound Gravel twice (2016, 2018) and taking victories at SBT Gravel, Grinduro, Rasputitsa, Vermont Overland, and UnPAved. He co-founded UnTapped, a sports nutrition company built around maple syrup, in 2013. He was inducted into the Gravel Cycling Hall of Fame in 2025.
