Phil Gaimon raced professionally from 2009 to 2016 for teams including Jelly Belly, Kenda-5-hour Energy, and Cannondale-Drapac, finishing second overall at the 2014 Tour de San Luis behind Nairo Quintana. Since retirement, he has built a following through his "Worst Retirement Ever" YouTube series documenting Strava KOM attempts, amassing over 150,000 subscribers. He authored three books: "Pro Cycling on $10 a Day" (2014), "Ask a Pro" (2017), and "Draft Animals" (2017, Penguin Books). He completed the Mauna Kea KOM, a nearly 90 km climb with 4,195 m of elevation, in 4 hours 34 minutes. He also hosts Phil's Cookie Fondo, an annual charity ride in Simi Valley, California.
