Michelle Parker was born in Truckee, California, and grew up skiing at Squaw Valley (now Palisades Tahoe). She started freeskiing at 15, initially dominating slopestyle and halfpipe before shifting to big mountain film segments. A major knee injury derailed her Olympic ambitions, but she pivoted to filming and won Best Female Performance at the 2013 Powder Video Awards for "Superheroes of Stoke." She has appeared in over a dozen ski films and co-founded the women's avalanche safety initiative SAFE AS.
