George Daniel is the director and lead instructor of the Joe Humphreys Fly Fishing Program at Penn State University (appointed 2019) and has competed on the USA Fly Fishing Team in five world championship events, winning the U.S. championship twice. His 2012 book "Dynamic Nymphing" was one of the first American texts to thoroughly cover European nymphing techniques alongside traditional indicator methods, and it opened the door for the Euro-nymphing movement that followed. His second book, "Strip-Set," applies a similar analytical approach to streamer fishing.
