Cameron Hanes worked a full-time job for the city of Eugene, Oregon, for decades while building his life around bowhunting and ultramarathon running. He has completed the Bigfoot 200 and dozens of other ultramarathons, treating endurance training as direct preparation for the physical demands of backcountry elk hunting in the steep terrain of Oregon, Montana, and Colorado. His "nobody cares, work harder" philosophy has made him a figure well beyond the hunting world, particularly through his close friendship with Joe Rogan and David Goggins. He co-founded Origin Hunt with Jocko Willink, a 100% American-made hunting apparel brand, after parting ways with Under Armour. He has been a Hoyt Archery athlete for over 20 years.
