Angel Collinson grew up in employee housing at Snowbird Ski Resort in Utah and began skiing at age two. She competed in the Freeride World Tour before becoming a full-time film athlete with Teton Gravity Research starting in 2013. She earned the opening segment of "Almost Ablaze" and the finale of "Paradise Waits," both firsts for a female skier in TGR productions. In 2021, she retired from professional skiing to pursue blue water sailing and other ventures.
